MNTC Client Luncheon - Invited Speaker: Dean Pinto - Part I
Friday, November 4, 2011 at 11:47AM Dr. Pinto is the new Dean of Engineering for the University of Louisville. Dean Pinto comes to us from the University of Cincinnati where he served as the Vice Provost & Dean of the Graduate School since 2006. He also served as the Assistant Dean for Graduate Studies College of Engineering from 2002-2006. Dean Pinto received his Pd.D. in Chemical Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University in 1985. He served on Ohio Governor Ted Strickland's Higher Education Transition Leadership Team in 2006, the Ohio Board of Regent's Advisory Council on Graduate Education since 2006 and the State of Ohio Hazardous Waste Facility Board from 1993-2003. Dean Pinto also served on Pennsylvania State University Industrial and Professional Advisory Committee, Department of Chemical Engineering, 2002-07 and Universidade da Beira Interior, Coviha, Portugal: Jury Member for Full Professor Candidate (Juti das Provas de Agregacao), 2002. Dr. Pinto's professional interests are: Administrative leadership in higher education Undergraduate and graduate teaching in engineering and science Research in fundamentals and applications of adsorption science.
